The Silence of the Citadel
The bells had barely finished ringing when word reached the Chancellery: a theft, within the very walls. The loss is not only in gold: it is in the trust that shattered along with the lock. On the Chancellery's list stand Anica the Miller, Toma the Cellarer, Lady Ruxandra, Luca the Squire and Pantelimon the Gardener; one of these names covers a lie. Rumor walks the deed through every corner: the cathedral crypt, the old chapel, the hunting lodge, the castle cellar and the Golden Boar inn. Few files have tested so many investigators; untangle the threads, catch the lie, and pronounce your verdict.

Locations
The old kings sleep beneath crested slabs. Now and then, someone disturbs their rest.
Candles, incense, and a silence in which every footstep echoes like a confession.
The royal cabin in the heart of the forest. Far from the eyes of the court - which is exactly what suits some.
Barrels as big as carts and corners the lantern never reaches.
Wine watered down and rumours diluted with nothing. The rooms upstairs ask no questions.
Objects
It sounds the muster, the alarm, or the retreat. Whoever holds it can start a whole panic with a single breath.
White fur with black tails - only the royal family may wear it. It has a tear at the hem.
Three padlocks, two rows of straps. Fresh scratches around the hinges, not the locks.
Copper pans, sealed weights. One of the weights rings hollow.
The kingdom's borders, drawn with a fresh correction where there should be none.
Motives
greed
Dorința nesățioasă de avere, care nu se oprește la nimic.
revenge
O datorie de sânge pe care numai fapta o mai șterge.
fear of exposure
Groaza de a fi dat în vileag, care împinge la orice.
the inheritance
O avere așteptată, pe care numai o moarte o desparte de mână.
a debt of honour
O făgăduială care cântărește mai greu decât viața.
